    • Aloha Lynn,
You have a great point. Simple confusion can be fatal. Along with the child-proof caps, you need childishly simple explanation as to the safe effective use of the product!

      Many blessings,
      Carrie

  1. I also have hypertension and it is true that there are many health products we think will help that we have to be careful about taking. I suppose there are no shortcuts when trying to lose weight–diet and exercise!

    • Aloha Jean,

I frequently talk about the various things you can do to turn around weight issues.

Here at Heart Failure Solutions weight loss is just a part of the healing process. Taking care of yourself is the way to find the answers you need.

Issues with fluid retention can be related to food, environment or emotional toxicity. Gaining fluid is a much different situation than gaining fat, and is more likely to cause your blood pressure to climb.

Harnessing Your Healing can set you up to create change in your health.

      Be well!
      Many blessings

  2. Great post. As someone who has suffered from dangerously high blood pressure and weight issues, I know how important it is to really watch what it is you are putting into your body. So many of the supplements and diet pills, are not designed to be taken if you have hypertension.

Exercise and nutrition are the best way to go 🙂

    • Aloha Veronica,

When your health is slipping away, you may not notice until you reach a crisis. The problem is that you just don’t know what you don’t know. Signs of trouble are often ignored. I like to think that when the student is ready the teacher appears, and the same goes for healing. If you seek answers, they will be forth coming if you be still and listen.

      Be well!
      Many blessings,
      Carrie

PS- Lots of learning here in the comment section! Thanks commenters!

  3. I knew drastic diet techniques would be harmful but this is such a new piece of information for me…after reading your blog I always get motivated to take better care and to think and learn before starting something new! Thanks for such a great post! 🙂

  4. I have known serveral people who have had health problems because of weight-loss supplements. People are too trusting when it comes to taking many of these over-the-counter supplements and medications. Many of these medications have not been adequately tested for safety. Thank you for this post!

    • Aloha Janette,
Please make sure you hear me! I am talking about prescription medications here too! Prescription meds can be some of the most dangerous toxins you can use and they interact with each other as well. You need to be on top of your blood pressure if you have any reason to be OR if you are starting a new supplement OR medication!

Nutritional supplements can be a God send. However, as we say ’round Heart Failure Solutions … Safety first!

      Be well!
      Many blessings,
      Carrie

    • Aloha Michelle,
      Safety first!

I like to talk about the things you just wouldn’t think of on my blog. This is the type of practical advice that can inspire you to be your own best advocate.

Blood pressure cuffs aren’t expensive, and it’s up to us to be responsible for our health.

Here on Heart Failure Solutions I frequently bring up anti-depressant medications as well. Who is going to think that their sleeping pill might cause them to feel suicidal? They are prescribed for sleep and there are many deaths from this very issue every single year.

Check out Holosync. Getting still with meditation is a great way to tap your intuition. Intuition is something you really want to cultivate. It’s your divine guide. Between that and muscle testing you have good reason to trust yourself!

      Many blessings,
      Carrie

  5. I really appreciated this blog. I stopped looking at the “diet remedies” a few years ago. When I need more energy, I change what I eat and drink. while I still have some minor health problems, I take no drugs and my blood pressure is generally excellent. So I will stay away from the fast remedies that promise so much but for me have never been workable solutions

    • Aloha Roberta,

Please hear me here. I have seen nutritional supplements work wonders, even heal chronic conditions. I have had amazing success using nutritional supplements myself.

However, too much of a good thing is TOO MUCH. You don’t create disease processes and distress in your body over night and you can’t force your body to heal over night, just like you can’t lose weight over night.

My point with this heart felt post is be safe in what ever you do. Taking good for you stuff AND medication to drug symptoms can cause your blood pressure to rise. Blood pressure monitors aren’t expensive. Be safe! (Now and in the future!)

      Many blessings,
      Carrie

    • Aloha Jeannette,
Got your comment out of my spam filter, sorry about that!

As you can see by the busy conversation here amongst the commenters, there is a lot to this beyond diet products. In fact the products my friend was on weren’t specifically diet products. Any supplement or medication might cause a reaction.

I remember when Janie’s daughter heard that the product cautioned against use with hyper-tension, she said that she didn’t realize that hyper-tension meant high blood pressure! You just don’t know what you don’t know!

Thanks for coming by, hope to see you again soon!

      Many blessings,
      Carrie
