Is Your Sanitizer Killing Germs or You?

If it is made by Clarcon Biological Chemistry Laboratory’s facility in Roy, Utah, you definitely don’t want to use it.

The FDA seized all skin sanitizers and skin protectants, including ingredients and components, after Clarcon voluntarily recalled the affected products but then refused to destroy them immediately.

The reason the FDA is so concerned is because the products contain harmful bacteria and are promoted as antimicrobial agents that claim to:

• treat open wounds
• treat damaged skin
• protect against various infectious diseases

There have been no cases of infectious disease reported, but the FDA says that the products contained high levels of a variety of different bacteria.  Some of these bacteria are capable of causing opportunistic infections of the skin and underlying tissues.

This type of infection can require medical or surgical attention and may result in permanent damage.

Obviously this is a worse case scenario.  Literally pouring harmful bacteria into an open wound is about as worse case as you can get.

The reason this issue grabbed my attention is that any attempt to make your environment safer by killing bacteria is a flawed plan.

In Clarcon’s case, they are cultivating opportunistic bacteria, bottling it and selling it.

This is gross negligence, however your home has the possibility of being a very dangerous petri dish, too.

If you use anti-bacterial soaps and even sanitizers, you may well be creating mutant bacteria that are capable of much more harm than the bacteria you killed.  If you are at war with bacteria, you are fighting a losing battle.

Animals that were raised in a germ-free environment were frequently sick, exhibited grossly underdeveloped immune systems and vulnerable intestinal tracts.

You need to work in harmony with bacteria in order to digest your food.  No balance … poor digestion.

Without balance in your body, your normal intestinal flora are over come with yeast and problematic bacteria.

Over time this imbalance can really create serious issues, and will drastically effect your ability to absorb nutrition from your food.
