What Is Facebook?

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama

Are You On a First Name Basis With President Obama?

Can you imagine referring to former President Bush as George?  The thought makes me chuckle.

Yet all over the internet, and elsewhere, I hear folks referring to President Obama as Barack, and the First Lady, as Michelle.

What is Facebook?  Do you know?  Michelle and Barack do!

The day following his historic inauguration, I logged into Twitter

(Never heard of Twitter!? It’s a fun new social tool you’ve just gotta check out!)

Anyway…..  One of the first “tweets” I read was from a young woman saying,

“Good morning! Is Barack still president? Yes? Yea!”

It is so refreshing.  Somehow being American has become a whole lot more laid back and accepting.

Even if you are Republican, we can all share a collective sigh of relief.

Give yourself the chance to renew, by plugging in with family and taking time away from your chaotic schedule.

Slow down, enjoy life while you’ve got the chance!

Facebook is a great social site that you can use to really keep up with what is going on in the lives of those you care about.

Distance can’t even get in the way!  You can keep up on everything they are doing, watch the little ones grow, and share the good times with the challenges.

Just go to Facebook.com and sign up!  It’s free, and you can set it up to be as private as you want.

When you put your pictures and videos on your Facebook account, your friends and family can share with you, and they are safe and secure.  (Boy do they hold on to lots of pictures and videos for you for free!)

You’ll find both Barack and Michelle there.  I am checking it out myself and will be filling you in on how to use the various features to get caught up quick!

My friends keep telling me about reconnecting with people from their past on Facebook!  One told me about finding a long lost half sister on Facebook!  No kidding!

Blessings abound when you get connected and stay close, and social networks are making that easy.

With a daily dose of love and support, you may find yourself standing a little taller, and smiling at strangers.

Smile and the world will smile with you!

Are you finding it tough to smile these days?

I encourage you to hold your head high and paint a smile on your face every morning when you look at your reflection in the mirror.

Keep smiling even while you are brushing your teeth!  I am dead serious!

Smiling is a very therapeutic way to start your day.

Smiling therapy can even help clinical depression.

If you are challenged when it comes to facing the world with a smile on your face try nourishing yourself and see if that doesn’t make a difference.

Food is your medicine.  If you can’t smile or get outside and walk, begin with a nutritional supplement and log on to a social network and make a few new friends!
