Will Fluid Rentention And Shortness Of Breath Destroy Your Health?

Female feet on scales

“Oh come on now, everyone gets a little fluid retention from time to time, right?”

Isn’t it normal to get winded when you take the stairs?  You’re just out of shape not sick.

Do you feel like a hypochondriac if you worry about feeling a little bloated or feel concerned over huffing and puffing up a flight of stairs?

You wouldn’t get anything accomplished if you gave in to such small concerns and quit fighting your way through life! Right?

You might be surprised to hear that even mild fluid retention will drain your energy!

Are your ankles swollen?  Feeling puffy?

If fluid retention and/or shortness of breath is getting your attention, are you ready to explore the solution?

It’s likely that if you can ignore your symptoms you aren’t motivated to find answers, but if you wait for desperation to motivate you time may not be on your side.

Rapid fluid weight gain is a sign of heart failure and shortness of breath can go from mild to terrifying in no time!

Are you concerned about fluid retention?

It can be difficult to tell if you need to lose fat, or if your issue is really fluid!

  1. I am overweight and I really don’t eat much but my weight continues to go up. I suffer badly from fluid retention and it is destroying my health. I take a water tablet everyday and that does help to a certain degree. I ry and do some walking everyday but some days it is difficult.. Thanks for this article I found it vey informative

  2. Some very useful tips. My wife is pregnant and has fluid retention in her feet and ankles. The doctors have told her this is common during pregnancy. She also gets a shortness of breath I guess due to her pregnancy weight.

    1. Aloha Ray,
Congratulations! Hope mom and babe come through delivery well!

Fluid is very common during pregnancy so not much to be all that concerned about. However, it’s a good idea to be aware that sugar causes as much or more trouble as salt does when it comes to water weight.

Stress and sleep are big too. Since it’s hard to sleep in the latter stages of pregnancy, it can really help to just sleep and nap a lot more.

It can be a rough time to get through, so please do give her a ton of support!

Good luck and many blessings to you all!
      Carrie
