Well doesn’t everybody use cough medicine?
Isn’t it a harmless over the counter cold medicine?
Over the counter cold medicine is ANYTHING but harmless!
The chemical makeup of cough medicine can be deadly.
You cough up mucus because your body is over loaded with toxicity, and needs to clean house.
“Are you saying that germs don’t cause the common cold?”
Actually, that is exactly what I am saying. If your immune system is up to snuff, no “germ” will “attack” you.
If germs caused the common cold, then everyone would get sick EVERY TIME they were exposed to germs.
So if you get a “cold” it is because your immune system is weakened.
In fact, snot and fever are a couple of ways that your body attempts to purify your system and strengthen your immune system.
Cough medicine is more harmful than beneficial to children.
Even if you aren’t a child, your cough is necessary to clear your lungs. If you suppress your cough, you may contribute to your illness, and definitely will add to the load of chemicals that your body if already dealing with.
If you are having trouble getting the mucus up, ginger tea is far more beneficial and effective than is cough syrup.
So if you don’t use cough medicine, how do you deal with a nagging persistent cough that keeps you up at night?
You may be surprised to find out that there is a much less harmful way to treat your persistent cough and get a better nights sleep 100% of the time.
This method is SO simple that you may not believe it will work. Give it a try and prove it to yourself.
The next time you or your loved one have an irritating cough that is keeping you awake at night:

About your post, am not very fond of cough syrup. I prefer ginger ale to relieve sore throat, itchy throad, whatever. Vicks will always occupy a special spot in my medicine cabinet.

I hear ya Tom, not to mention the work load that is put on the liver with habitual drugging. Today’s society seems to collectively say, more is better, and I shouldn’t feel bad, so I will take a pill.
If you aren’t taking care of yourself, your body will tell you. Listen carefully, it is asking for nourishment and activity, not a pill.

It sounds just like the common headache remedies. People take them far too often thinking they are removing the headaches when in fact they are what’s causing the headaches to come back – rebound headaches are terrible. A terrible plight to be in. I’ve seen people in this mode and it is not fun.

Crazy isn’t it? I’m so glad it works! As for the why, if you rub garlic on the bottom of your feet, you will taste it within 20 minutes. I guess it’s effectiveness has to do with those absorbent feet! I generally use essential oils, but everyone seems to have Vicks in their medicine cabinet.
