Is the World Facing an Epidemic of Heart Failure?

If there is truly an epidemic of heart failure going on in the world today, what can you do about it?

Heart Failure is the result of underlying disease processes that fatally damage your heart!

Your elevated blood sugar and blood pressure are huge contributing factors to developing heart failure.

Of course you can’t discuss the cause of heart failure without acknowledging the fact that nutrition and exercise have everything to do with health and vitality.

As well as nourishing you physically, nutrition and exercise affect the chemical environment of your brain and blood stream influencing your behaviors, emotions and even mental disorders.

Nutrition can not be minimized as a contributing factor of heart failure.

Nutrition is a BIG deal.  Eat more fruits and vegetables!

There’s an epidemic of heart failure going on … haven’t you heard?

Seriously, ignoring any of the contributory causes of heart failure is a grievous mistake.

It is easier to prioritize better food choices and more activity for your loved one, than it is to make sure you give yourself that extra special care.

A sincere desire for change allows you to seek a better approach to diet and lifestyle, though you will have to find the inspiration and determination to actually follow through consistently before you realize the benefits.

Your health is the result of your habits.

Your bad habits are often the gag you use to silence your suppressed emotions!

Your unprocessed emotions are also an important contributor to heart failure!

  • Suppressed anger results in hypertension and stroke.
  • Very often unhealed emotional trauma has everything to do with heart failure!

Your capacity to understand, forgive and accept is directly linked to your personal health.

Sometimes the person you are hardest on is yourself.

Please be gentle with yourself.

an Epidemic of Heart Failure

Today is the 63rd anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination.

Gandhi told us that …

“Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err. It passes my comprehension how human beings, be they ever so experienced and able, can delight in depriving other human beings of that precious right.”

In recognition of his life on this tragic anniversary, I want to remind you of what Mahatma Gandhi accomplished in his lifetime.

Gandhi brought the British Empire to its knees and effectively ended the colonialism that had been ongoing for centuries.

He accomplished the impossible by standing for a principle that is well described in the book, Power vs Force, by David R. Hawkins, MD.

The principle Gandhi stood for was:

“the intrinsic dignity of man and his right to freedom, sovereignty and self determination.”

He stood for what was just and right.

Gandhi believed that it is your intrinsic right to freely and independently, with determination, make as many mistakes as you need to in your quest for better health and wellness.

Your capacity to understand, forgive and accept is directly linked to your personal health.

Understanding, forgiving and accepting yourself as you are is the first step to lasting change.

What you resist persists.

It can be tough to let go of unforgiveness and arrogance, and even tougher to let go of self loathing.
