No matter what you want to accomplish in the new year, it is all about greater happiness, isn’t it?
I am hoping that your New Year’s Resolution is not the only goal you set this year. Goal setting is something I do on a regular basis, and I’ve taught my children to do it.
If life is worth living, it is worth setting goals, achieving them and celebrating your success!

So what is it about your New Years Resolution that makes it different from all your other goals?
If you are like most people, your New Year’s Resolutions is probably one of the goals that you never find the time to get to!
The “To Dos” that nag at you are the ones that you know you SHOULD get to. When you don’t, you beat yourself up.
Bad habits are at the top of the list of things you never get around to tackling.
Don’t overwhelm yourself. If you have more than one bad habit you’d like to get rid of … prioritize and battle one habit at a time.
- Find a good-for-you activity to focus on.
- Combine a “don’t do” goal with a “do it” goal.
- When you stop doing something destructive, it’s helpful to put your focus on something you CAN do, to help you stop dwelling on what you are trying NOT to do.
If you want to stop smoking, START walking!
Weight gain is a common worry when you stop sucking butts, but if you get moving you are likely to be encouraged by the changes in your body.
Encouragement is a great way to stick with a purification plan!
Polluting your body feels BAD!
Nurturing your body feels really GOOD!
Feeling good is a really great motivator! If you put your health goals at the top of your priority list, ALL of your goals will be a LOT easier to reach!
